How much could owning a pet really cost?

Thinking of getting yourself a pet? Have you considered all the costs and how much it could cost you?

Most pet owners will know that keeping animals is not cheap, but those new to owning animals may not be fully aware of how much it can cost.

Some irresponsible owners will not take into account some very important costs, putting the animal's life at risk.

If you are thinking of getting a pet then you should be fully aware of the costs, and what you will need to keep your new pet happy and healthy each year.

The prices do not include extreme circumstances such as broken legs or an on going health problem. It also does not include leads, collars, bedding, hutches, litter or toys. Food prices have not been included as different breeds and different pets have different dietry needs and requirements in their food.
